Send the brief.

The more specific it is, the more likely the first reply carries a price and a date instead of a list of questions. Four things do most of that work, and they are listed further down.

What the site is for, roughly how many pages, whether the copy exists, and the date it needs to be live.

Message received

You will get a reply within one working day, Monday to Friday, 09:00-18:00, Europe/Nicosia (EET/EEST). If your brief already names the site type, the rough page count and the date it needs to be live, that reply will carry a number rather than a list of questions.

Answered during working hours. For a price or a scope, write instead - the answer then exists in writing and can be checked against later.

one working day

Counted in working days. An enquiry sent on Friday evening is answered on Monday, not acknowledged on Monday and answered on Wednesday.

Working hours
Monday to Friday, 09:00-18:00

Europe/Nicosia (EET/EEST). Outside those hours the message is read but not answered - a reply written at midnight is worse than one written at nine.

What to write

Four things that turn a reply into a number.

What the site is for
Selling a specific service, taking orders, being findable for a trade, replacing something that is embarrassing. The purpose decides the structure, and the structure decides the price more than the page count does.
Roughly how many pages
An estimate is fine. One page is the landing row of the price table, up to eight is the corporate row, and anything beyond eight is the corporate row plus EUR 220 per extra page. Knowing which saves a round trip.
Whether the copy exists
This is the single most common reason a project runs late. If there is no text and nobody to write it, that needs to be in scope from the start rather than discovered in week three.
The date it needs to be live
A real date, including why it is that date if there is a reason. It determines whether the rush surcharge applies, or whether the answer is honestly no.

What happens next

After you press send.

  1. Immediately

    Confirmation on screen

The form confirms in the browser. There is no drip sequence and no automated follow-up chain - the next message you get is written by a person.

    Nothing required from you

  2. Within one working day

    A real answer

Either a price and a timeline for the scope you described, or the two or three questions that stand between the brief and a number. If the project is one this studio declines, that is said plainly in the same reply.

    You supply

    Nothing, unless questions came back.

  3. If it fits

    A written scope

The page list, what is built on each, the timeline and a fixed price, in writing. Nothing starts before you have agreed to that document.

    You supply

A yes, or the changes you want in it.

  4. Never

    An unannounced phone call

No number is asked for on this form and none is called unasked. If a conversation would be faster, it is proposed in writing first and scheduled.

    Nothing required from you
